BOY SCOUT TROOP 180

Troop 180 has been welcoming boys from through out Ludlow and surrounding communities since 1939.  The only requirement is to be between 11 and 18 years old and have your parent's permission -- that, and a desire to discover not just the outdoors but what you are capable of!

We meet on Wednesday's from 7:00 to 8:30 pm either at St Elizabeth Parish's Pastoral Center or at our own camp.  During most of the year the meetings are at Camp Falconer (442 Alden St here in Ludlow) but we move to the Pastoral Center during cold weather when the camp building is winterized.   Email info@scouts180.org.

Leadership:

Troop 180's Scoutmaster is Tim Simard (MrTim@scouts180.org).  He and his assistant Scoutmasters provide adult leadership, BUT Scouting is more than adults telling youth what to do.. it's about developing leaders.  Older boys serve in leadership too!  The Troop meetings are led by a Senior Patrol Leader elected by the youth.  He chooses a staff that includes an assistant, Quartermaster, Scribe, and others who manage the activities.  Each patrol (6-8 boys, usually about the same age) elect a leader.  The Senior Patrol Leader and his staff, together with the Patrol Leaders, plan meetings and activities as a group, referred to as the Patrol Leader's Council (PLC)

EAGLE TAKES FLIGHT!

Troop 180 is proud of our newest Eagle!  Domynic Baxter-Churchill became our 96th Eagle after passing his Eagle Board of Review on August 9th.  The board of review was conducted by the General Knox District .   A complete list of Troop 180 Eagles since 1939 is on our Eagle Honor Roll.
